Which IDE is the best (and most userfriendly) for GUI building? Doing it all
by hand gets very tedious very fast!

IMO netBeans is a nice GUI builder.

JFormDesigner is very good for SWING. Take a look at it (it's not free
though)

Thanks for the feedback! I just downloaded netbeans and it appears to be
pretty neat!
