Author help in running jsp and servlets

hallo frnds
i m new in JSP programming. i want to run my JSP's on Tomcat. pls any
one can help me how to run JSP's on tomcat. suppose my aplication
folder is named as sampleapps then how to configure it on tomcat.

and one help also i want how to run servlet on tomcat

pls help me

I have a little reference here to help. You will need to create a
web.xml file also.

there is a better way, ye can use a good ide like netbeans or jdeveloper
