It sounds like it doesn't, though. How about writing to the developer?

I'm TRYING to contact the developer.

I just received confirmation of my "membership" to SourceForge, but the
page that e-mail refers me to "can't be found"

Pretty sure I've used Chamonix before without problems.

Oh well, the files I need open in CHM Viewer. The person who sent the
files to me suggested Chamonix, without giving me any reason.

Trying how? His email address is given at sourceforge, along with a form
for contacting him. How does posting *here* help?

That's EXACTLY how. The site was listed as too busy or DOWN -- I don't
remember the exact wording - several times, with several browsers. And
no, I'm having no browser problems. Sheesh.
