Author Out of memory in perldb

Hi everybody,

I am getting an Out of Memory error while debugging my program with perldb.
It does not happen with perl. In fact, it happens when I issue a command
like:

x $_

(note that it does not occur with p $_). I have not messed with .perldb.
I have no idea where to look.

Any suggestions?
