LWP fail to catch loading balacing websites

Hi,

I've some websites in clusters working with a loading balacing switch
(i think the switch is a router). I've a robot it must take some pages
in the sites or detect the sites. The robot uses LWP , i use get or
head function to take pages or detect pages. The problem is that get
and head doesn't work with the loading balacing domain names , i must
send the request directly to one of the machines in the cluster to get
answer.
The lynx browser send me the following error message, it doesn't tell
me anything but may be someone may understand what it is.

Alert!: Connection failed (too many retries).
Alert!: Unable to connect to remote host.
