Why? You're the only one spamming that group - and probably the only
member.

1) to answer the why: Because in the group i hope to discuss how to
find more freelance work , share work amongst other freelancers to
meet deadlines, share resources making them more cost effective and
other tactics.
2) Forgive me if that is considered spamming to you but it is not.
Freelancer71 asked a question and i answered it with a link. It was
requested. Not Spam.
3) i just started the group yesterday and no i am not the only member.

*No offense against you in this post, just an overview*. I think you
know it's not exactly an answer, it's more a kind of possibility you're
proposing to him, but that (atm) doesn't help him as there is no
discussions there. He may of course subscribe, but then he'll still need
help, and eventually he'll have to repeat his request (if the request is
about PHP btw, it may be something else, cf crossposting).
And in my opinion giving an URL after a request can still be spam,
depending on the relevance of the URL. One can provide a direct link to
a helpful resource, or a link to one of his site saying "you can find
some help in ***** section", one is not spam, the other one... Well,
relevent or not, that's the point since you can't read his mind to
determine the real parts of "I wanna help" and "I wanna promote myself"
during the post writing.
Plus I think proposing your site wouldn't be a spam if someone external
did. As you're the "owner" things are considered with a different point
of view.
Anyway, considering your group has no entries, only idling members, I
guess you should admit that, for the moment, one might consider it as
spam if you provide the link to help. I personnaly do but I don't care
(or should I say, I care a HELL less than those recents "ISLAM", "Dating
Script" or "This actually works" real spams).
Regards,

I agree if the link was to freelancers2hire4u.com (I just made this
up) and had 350 active members it would be different.

There are already a lot of groups out there.

You spammed your group. He didn't ask for a group - he asked for people.
And this is not the only time you've spammed your sucky group.

Oh, the other half of your split personality is also a member, huh?
About what I expect from a spammer.

A spammer trying to be a legit programmer scares me. Anybody else?
