hi
am tryin to create a website, with some dynamic content, such as NEWS,
EVENTS etc, under each of the headings there will be a smaller heading
followed by a small txt and a click for more link, just like in newspapers
home page. i understnd this uses som sort of Web Content Management
applications. please i just need some directions and guidance here, and also
some recomendations of any opensource WCM application that i could use. is
realy just a lightweight website.

OK, sounds like you've got a way to go on the technical front here.
There is a website that has clean installations of lots of content management
systems that you can play with, umm, I'm afraid I've just forgotten where.

There are many available, many of them free. Personlly Etomite
(www.etomite.org) seems to work just fine and it's *very* easy to put together
all sorts of stuff, particularly for those less technically inclined (imo), and
very powerful too.

For almost whatever you choose you're going to need an ISP that allows running
your own php scripts and gives you access to a database system.
