I am moving from a guest book

to a phpBB based forum.

I'd like to copy all the old guest book messages into one long message
on the phpBB - it is too much effort to make them sepparate messages.
But I have hit a limit on the size of the messages.

Does anyone know what sets that limit, and if so why is it there? I
could get around it by splitting the old messages into groups of 3
months each, but I'd rather split them into two - those posted in 2004
and those posted in 2005. But I can't seem to do that.
