Anyone knows where i can find a REALLY good beginner's guide ? From setup to
php/mysql interaction... something that actually explains things and doesn't
just play on examples ?

http://webmonkey.wired.com/webmonkey/99/21/index2a.html is a good place
to start (it worked for me, anyway!).

It has to be said, the best way of explaining something is often through
an example. Programming requires a conceptual leap which is usually best
supported through having a real-world problem to solve - if you can
learn a programming language in the abstract you're in the minority.
