I don't necessarily buy into his argument, but he did say they could simply
add include_relative rather than change the way include works. Other than a
relatively minor issue of how it would affect require_once and
include_once, depending on how relative paths get resolved (if at all), I
can't think of what other effect it would have on existing scripts.
