I feel myself using pornography excessively and very frequently. it's
becoming a serious problem. how can I stop this behavior?

I took my laptop into the store where I work to copy some files and it
was extremely embarrassing when my co-worker was copying something
onto it she opened a folder with a bunch of movies and images that
were showing up as thumbnails. she didn't say anything, but I'm sure
she noticed it and probably told the manager.

Maybe this is an obvious question, but have you tried a porn blocker?
A quick google shows that there are plenty available out there
(www.optenetpc.com, www.netnanny.com). That way the porn can't make it
onto your pc.

If you want to be less interested in sex, get married.

This is a serious question, believe it or not. It is officially
declared
as addiction in science, and you should put efforts in solving it. It
is
primarily a problem due to a lot of porn sites and movies easily
available
to everyone, especially to ones who spend a lot of time in front of
the computer.
So it can be said it is a 20th (21st) century disease. Two things you
should try
(in my opinion) to ease the pressure: (as already said) find a
girlfriend and spend
a lot of time with her (not only you shall have sex frequently, but
you shall also
be restrained from accessing the sites since you'll be afraid she
could catch
you in action because she's always there), and the other thing - get
your self
a slow Internet connection :) You could also have a tour to the world
of porn,
see the way they live and meet them as persons to understand yourself
being an
XXXXXXX looking at them as wooden objects serving a (pretty dirty)
purpose.

The last thing, not least, is that you don't make a problem in your
head with this.
If you press your self really hard, you could get a more serious
mental problem.

Ah... all the world's a victim.

You cannot be addicted to porn. You CAN act like a moron and allow your
behavior to be detrimental to your life.

The first step in stopping a behavior is to determine if you genuinely
want to stop that behavior. The second step is to TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR
YOUR ACTIONS. This is not porn's fault... porn is a wonderful, beautiful
thing (assuming it's between consenting adults) that can do you no harm.
What matters is how you act.

Well, that's just stupidity.

Perhaps you should look into TrueCrypt (http://www.truecrypt.org/) so the
next time you "forget" that your computer is brimming with illicit
material that's inappropriate for the general public, not to mention a
female co-worker, you won't have this issue.

That said... if the porn in question does not involve consenting adults or
if your "accidentally" exposing your co-worker to the material wasn't
really and accident I suggest you go get yourself some help before you do
something that's going to land you in jail or get someone hurt.

As my friend Sketchy Rex said after being arrested for masturbating nude
in his front yard watching porn on his TV through his living room window:
"It seemed like a good idea at the time."

Please get a grip on your actions and stop ruining everything for everyone
else.

Every time some jerkweed "creates" some new social disease the rest of us
lose our freedom of choice.

Is cocaine desire reduced by N-acetylcysteine?
Alternative Medicine Review,
Sept, 2007 by S.D. LaRowe, H. Myrick, S. Hedden
OBJECTIVE:
Animal models suggest that N-acetylcysteine inhibits cocaine-sing.
The present pilot study evaluated whether N-acetylcysteine would
suppress reactivity to cocaine-related cues in cocaine-dependent
humans.
METHOD:
In this double-blind, placebo-controlled trial, 15 participants
received N-acetylcysteine or placebo during a 3-day hospitalization.
Participants were crossed over to receive the opposite condition on a
second, identical 3-day stay occurring 4 days later. During each
hospital stay, participants completed a cue-reactivity procedure that
involved collecting psychophysical and subjective data in response to
slides depicting cocaine and cocaine use.
RESULTS:
While taking N-acetylcysteine, participants reported less desire to
use and less interest in response to cocaine slides and watched
cocaine slides for less time.
CONCLUSIONS:
The inhibition of cocaine cue reactivity is consistent with existing
preclinical data and supports the use of N-acetylcysteine as a
treatment for cocaine dependence.

1) Porn IS classified as an addiction, and for whoever said it was not
is wrong because ANYthing can become an addiction.

2) IMPORTANT: Do NOT, I repeat, do NOT "get yourself a girlfriend" or
get married to remedy such a problem. In fact, don't involve yourself
in a relationship until you have your problem under control. Why?
Because what you are doing in looking at those women is USING them for
self gratification. By switching from using those women to using a
girlfriend/wife, you are not solving your problem but creating
another. Using is the opposite of loving. It is not fair to any person
to use them for sexual self gratification.

3) To stop, think of those women as PEOPLE. They are living,
breathing, feeling people who deserve respect. Is it not truly
dening that they have resorted to selling their bodies visually?
Whenever you feel like opening you lap top for that, think of those
women as people and feel sorry for them. (If you're Christian, perhaps
even say a prayer for them.)

4) There are organizations that you can find online that are
completely amonymous and all-male, and operate over the phone/email.
They match up either two people with the problem or one with someone
who is knowledgeable about the problem. They might help, you could
look them up.

I wish you the best.

Off-topic as hell but - A-XXXXing-men!!!
I'm sick and tired of dating women who have a lifetime of sexual abuse in
their past.
They are NOT happy people.

5) One of the MOST HELPFUL things to do to get over the addiction: Be
social. It sounds dumb, but think about it. Do you look at porn when
you are with friends or family? Of course not. Start accepting every
invitation to whatever social events that go on. Go with your co-
workers after work to chill, visit your family on the wends, hang
with friends on days off, whatever. The MORE HUMAN INTERACTION, the
LESS you will THINK ABOUT SEX. I guarantee it. (If you want the
somewhat lengthy explanation for why this is true, ask and I'll post
it.)

Again, I wish you the best.
