Author Problem with install - Same question in alt.comp.lang.php

I have 3 servers that need to run php. The installation of the first 2 went
fine but the third one is not working. Any helpful suggestions would be
great.

OS - Linux Fedora Core 1
Web Server - apache 2.0.49
PHP - 4.3.6
Linux Kernel - 2.4.22-1.2115

I installed using the instructions found on
http://dan.drydog.com/apache2php.html. It was a very straight install with
no error messages. Whats happening now is that when I go to any web site
using PHP everything on a browser works just fine. This is true also for
websites, not using PHP located on the server. I can place plain HTML in
the PHP directory of the site and it again works. Any PHP file trying to
load into a browser immediately brings up a dialog asking to open or save
the file.

The server log files do not indicate an error even in server debug mode.
