hi all,

i'm building php 514 from src on a fully up-to-date osx 10.4.6.

i've been doing so successfully for ages ... and 'make test' has been
passing mostly cleanly.

today's 514 build on several different boxes completes the build w/o
apparent error. php execs fine, 'php -i' looks ok, and apache plugin
behaves as expected.

all good.

BUT 'make test' now starts with:

% make test
Build complete.
(It is safe to ignore warnings about tempnam and tmpnam).

and continues, FAILing just abt everything !?

clearly, there's a malloc issue ... and/or something's changed (Apple's
security update maybe?) but i have no idea what/where ...

can someone lend a hand figuring this out? i'll happily play the part
of guinea pig ...

cheers,

richard
