Clear template cache

Hello,

I have got two smarty objects (one for frontend a one for backend).
When I in backend edit an item I need to clear template cache for this
item in frontend.

In backend, there is accessible pointer for frontend smarty object,
but when I want to use function clear_cache(); with this object, it
does not delete a template cache.

Is there some solution how to delete a smarty cache within another
extended smarty object? Thank you for your replies.
