Woops! I'm very sorry about that. I was working through some
problems I was having with getting PEAR and PEAR_PackageFileManager to
generate correct package files for my C++-based extension, and I
mistakenly committed the above change thinking it was part of the PEAR
code and not the separately-maintained PEAR_PackageFileManager package.

I am very much an advocate of letting the package maintainers control
their own packages, and I apologize for not going through the proper
channels in this case.
