I would like to start maintaining the Arichive_Zip package. I have just
become a member of the pear group and would very much like to help out. My
skills in php are extensive, however, like most I am always learning
something new. I'm a very devoted person and believe that I could help
develop this and other packages. I have 9 years experience with php and a
bachelor's of science in software engineering. I hope you give me a shot, I
would love to be a part of pear.

Hi Brandon,

Good to hear that you are interested in PEAR. The usual procedure is
to propose patches to fix open bugs (of which there are none, only
just one request) or to propose patches for new features or bugs
you've found yourself, so the quality of coding can be assessed.
So the question is, what do you want to contribute to this package?
I think besides the things you plan to add it could get a coding
standards update, and perhaps an update to package.xml 2.0.
