| Hi Jorrit,
Last time I knew Toby has withdrawn him self from all PEAR activities and
thus this package needs a new maintainer.
I like what you have suggested as to maintaining the current release cycle,
can you perhaps show us your code quality by adding patches to bugs you've
fixed and post the links here ?
And if you take over Net_FTP would you be willing to work on Net_FTP2 ?
As to talking to developers and such, pear-dev@lists.php.net would be the
place and I can assure you, people there will help you, we also have the irc
channel #pear on EFnet if you want a more interactive discussion (not
granted that people are online all the time)
Regards
Helgi

| Hello,
Most bugfixes already have patches associated with them and are quite small
as well. For the larger fixes I'll develop a fix this w hopefully.
I do not want to get involved too much right away as I can't guarantee that
I have enough time. It's just that I (and others of course) need these
issues to be resolved. Besides that, I prefer not to code for PHP 4 anymore
and Net_FTP2 seems to be PHP 4 and 5. Is there some page stating the goal of
Net_FTP2 over Net_FTP?
So my primary goal is to reduce the bug list for Net_FTP.

This is almost true. Please keep me as a lead maintainer for my
packages, but feel free to assign additional leads to take over
maintainance.
TIA!
Toby
