it this still going on ;)

- How about releasing the next version as XML_Tree2, and letting the
XML_Tree bagage die a slow death...
If anyone asks just tell them to upgrade their code to use v2
The package is pretty redundant now that DOM support is alot better in PHP5.

The package is very redundant under php5 :)

XML_Tree beta would become XML_Tree2 stable, not sure how 'stable' it
would be.

Many packages use XML_Tree 2.0 beta and they work fine. Packages should
be upgraded to use php5 features such as dom/simplexml/xmlreader rather
than worry too much about XML_Tree.
