All went fine on WinXP/PHP4.3.11, except installing 1.4.5, which kept
telling me that it can't be done because 1.4.4(!) is already installed--but
I guess this is caused by some local installation issue on my development
box. --force solved the install problem too. Individual package
installations went fine.

Didn't have the chance to test the rest.
