Don't loose the discussion,
The target is to forbid @ or set_error_handler(@) anywhere it's possible.
I quoted 2 *examples* only,
I don't planned to focuse on technical means for *1* of these examples.
The second example is perhaps more meaningfull.

But yes, case by case , technical solutions are also needed :)
And I'm not against a thread on abusive @inquire ... where some packages
do it allready right anyway ... even if not "performant"
