Hi all,

It turns out that #5683 is a serious enough bug that it will be
necessary to postpone PEAR 1.4.3.

I just fixed the bug in CVS, but I want a few more days for things to
settle, as a change to the core of dependencies had to be made for this
to be fixed. All unit tests pass, and so I'm confident it works, but I
will use this opportunity to fix the other open bug and then will shoot
for a Nov. 3 release of PEAR 1.4.3.
