It's maintained. Just poorly.

I will try (again) to take a look at outstanding bugs in the near future...

Also (again), if anyone is inclined to help out with unit tests, let me
know. We really need a comprehensive suite. My biggest holdback when
patching is the fear of breaking a _LOT_ of applications.
