I've asked exactly this question some time ago (whether I should bump
the version to 1.0.0) and then received a "No, do not do this".

I guess pulling the release would be stupid and confuse the users.
XML_Util has been stable quite some time now and always had versions
below 1.0. I'd say I bump the version number with the next release. Any
objections?
