Hi:

Two thoughts on bug assigning...

Remember, the practice of someone assigning old bugs to maintainers will
become somewhat obsolete in the not too distant future when reminders are
automatically sent.

The person who is concerned enough about a bug that they are considering
changing the status/assignment could do just as well by emailng the leads
directly. Most maintainers know about the bugs and aren't necessarily
ignoring them and likely have a reason for not assigning them.

Thanks,
