The new PEAR package Net_SMTP-1.2.10 (stable) has been released at http://pear.php.net/.

Release notes
-------------
Allow auth via STARTTLS if PHP supports it (requires Net_Socket 1.0.7) (Johan Ohrn, johan@oern.mine.nu).
