PHP Pear

I am installing pear in windows by running go-pear.bat. I have installed
the latest version of php. I get the following error

After following prompts

Configuration written to c\php\pear.ini...

Initialized registry...

PHP Warning: Cannot use a scalar value as an array in
phar://go-pear.phar/PE

What does this mean? What should I do to install Pear in windows ?
