Is it possible to have more than one pear folder?!

Hi,

I have a framework and i want to use pear as part of it. my websites are
in share hosting so in case i needed to debug some packages (and can't
wait until pear developers apply my debug to the main source), it's not
possible to change main pear because server admin won't let me. so i
want to upload my own pear inside my account (public_html or root)
folder on the server and use like it's the only pear exists on the server.

is it possible?
