Author HTML_Quickform fields that are conditionally required

In my form, I have a radio button that, depending on which of the
selections are checked, will show a piece of the form that is required,
all the other hidden fields are not required. Is there a way to do this
in HTML_Quickform? I have thought about doing groups around the
elements that are required together, but I have to somehow get the value
of the radio button to see if it is required or not.

Also, I have another form that adds dynamically (from the client side)
indefinite amounts of fields (depending on what the user needs). Is
there a way for HTML_Quickform to validate these fields? They are not
inserted in the form until the user clicks on a button that runs
javascript to add more fields.
