Sorry, man, didn't mean to hurt your feelings. FB is great; that's why I'm keeping at least some API compatibility with it.
But I had so much customisation I needed to do; it didn't make sense to throw a ton of callbacks and tweaks to hack around FB. Plus I also didn't need a lot of features it has, and they the hell out of me, my code path is a bit easier to debug be
cause I don't have to chase those rabbits.
Uh, plus, when I started FB wasn't quite stable enough for my taste, and I couldn't risk random things breaking and me not knowing how to fix it.
My FB-like class is a bit over 700 lines total. It's not a competitor ;-) I'd publish it but I don't think anyone else will like the way I did stuff; it's specific to this application.
