| Hello,
Could someone say where I can see why nl.php.net is not listed as a working
mirror? It is working correctly for as far as I can see.
With kind regards, Met vriendelijke groet,
Mark Scholten

Hello,
The php.net mirror has a new IP (89.248.170.58) and is working correctly at
that IP. We also changed the DNS and we suspected that it was changed
without any notice.
With kind regards, Met vriendelijke groet,

Hi!
Our automatic mirror site check was unable to reach
the PHP.net mirror site maintained by you for three or more days
now, *or* have found a permanent fatal error in your mirror setup.
Therefore our bot automatically disabled your listing as an
official PHP.net mirror site.
The last error message stored for your mirror is:
Unable to connect.
Please correct the problem or reply to this mail with your
questions, if you think that the problem is not on your side.
Your mirror will be kept disabled until the error is fixed.

| It is working fine today.
You are replying to a mail sent out the 18th of November.. nl.php.net
was disabled for 2 days(17&18th) probably while the DNS servers were
catching up.

| Hello Hannes,
I did look on www.php.net/mirrors.php and it wasn't listed. That was why I
replied. Is it possible to inform maintainers when 2 or 3 checks fails after
each other?
That would be a nice option so we can fix problems faster. For the rest:
keep up the good work!
With kind regards, Met vriendelijke groet,
Mark Scholten

Indeed. These checks and false alarms and only w ly mails are
getting very annoying.
I'll be rewriting this stuff as soon as I can :]

It would be awesome if you could.
I don't have any specs for it though, other than it needs to check for
common mirroring problems (http://php.net/mirroring-troubles) and if
it is "alive" or not.
The current scripts are in our CVS, of course, under
php-master-web/scripts/mirror-test and mirror-summary
(available from our CVS frontend on
http://cvs.php.net/viewvc.cgi/php-m....22&view=markup
&& http://cvs.php.net/viewvc.cgi/php-m...100&view=markup
too).
See http://php.net/anoncvs how to access our repository.
The mirror-test script is executed once an hour, while mirror-summary is w ly.
The key enhancements needed for mirror-test (besides general rewrite)
are mailing mirror maintainers shortly after the mirror is disabled
(say, 3hours or so) and smarter "is alive" checks.
You are free to use whatever PHP version you like. As you can see from
the scripts their are *very* old, written for PHP4.0 with minor
enhancements that require PHP5.
If you need any PHP5.3 specific features it can be arranged, any PECL
extensions are fine too (hint; pecl/http is definitely worth looking
into).
Adding more sanitychecks or changes to phpweb (mirror-info.php for
instance) are OK too.
If there is any functionality you need, but PHP does not offer, let me
know and we'll fix it :)
