Splitting the php-mirrors@ mailinglist

| Hi all
I get "complaints" from time-to-time from our mirror admins regarding
the traffic on php-mirrors@ asking if its possible to split the
mailing list because:
a) The current traffic is totally unrelated to mirroring
b) When I send mirror admins mail CCing php-mirrors@ (or vice-verca)
the post often gets discarded as most of admins ignore posts to
php-mirrors@
Currently php-mirrors@ is kind of a junk yard where we send cvs
commits from php*web, event submission, webmaster@ traffic and mirror
changes via master/manage/mirrors.php
So, is there any chance we can create a new mailing list named
"webmaster" where all the current traffic to php-mirrors@ is sent to,
with the exception of changes via master/manage/mirrors.php, cvs
commits to phpweb and the w ly mirror status update?

| Sure; I'd like to defer this until I have the new lists box up and
running though; a w or two to wait for that to happen.
Meanwhile, if you could compile a list of the things that spit mail out
to the list currently, and note where you want it to end up, that will
help make such a move a bit easier/quicker.

| Hi
php-mirrors@lists.php.net:
- Keep the current mirrors@php.net alias
- phpweb cvs commits
- Mirror status information
New mailing list (php-webmaster@lists.php.net?):
- Send traffic from webmaster@php.net here
- Traffic from bugsweb "Website problem"
- Event submission
- php-*-web cvs commits
If you could:
- Create the mailinglist
- Map webmaster@php.net to php-webmaster@lists.php.net
- phpweb commits to php-mirrors@lists.php.net
- php-*-web commits to php-webmaster@lists.php.net
Then I can take care of fixing the mail()s on master and bugsweb.
