The PHP Quebec team is pleased to invite you to it's monthly meetings
which take place every first Thursdays of each month at l'Ecole
Polytechnique located in Montreal.

Webservices with Rest : Paul Reinheimer
Everyone's heard of Web Services, but many deployments are SOAP or
XMLRPC. These technologies have their benefits, but they're often too
complicated, and needlessly heavy for many simple applications. The
solution? REST. Simple, GET-/POST-based webservices.

This talk will introduce some theory behind developing a web service,
general steps in processing a request, and demonstration of a simple
REST framework.

PHP Phone Home : Sean Coates
With email becoming less and less reliable, and telephony more and
more pervasive, perhaps it's time to consider finding a new medium to
supplement the functionality of our Web applications? In this piece,
we?ll investigate the potential of Asterisk in terms of PHP scripting.

You would like to speak or have a topic you would like to see covered
during our meetings? Email us at board@phpquebec.com
