Nope, someone else broke it. I fixed it... But the rsync took ages to
pick it up...

Can someone remind us how to make php.net update faster? I used to know but
it's complicated :)

The fastest way is to just let it update itself; it's complicated
because it needs to be built on the rsync box and sync'd out to the
mirrors. It's problematic to force any part of that process because the
boxes are usually in the middle of doing that work, and interrupting
them will cause more problems than just leaving them to do their job.

The best fix for this problem is to make sure that things are tested
better before they are checked in.

Excuse me. I was the one who made that error. I always do a php -l on my
changes, and also search for function usage when changing parameters or
removing functions. I don't have a runtime environment (yet again), so I
was unable to test for runtime errors. I will look into setting up a
runtime test site.

I wasn't digging at you or complaining; I know that it's hard to catch
all problems like that. I just wanted to point out that the best way to
solve the need to re-sync is to avoid needing to re-sync ;-)

Definitely need to check in a runtime environment before commiting code.
I use my homedir on php.net for that. I believe that other pages besides
front page work that way, if not, they can probably be fixed.
