Thank you for your comments, and your suspention of the bug report. Not
allowing payment for using the system could be the main reason for not
using the system.

hrmmm.. I can be a good or bad idea depending with what eyes you see
it.
I think creating such thing may be helpful to pay more people to hack
into the PHP core or the documentation.. but some people tends to
confuse "donation" with "service payment" that may cause trouble.(the
classic "I gave you money..now implement X feature" problem)

We don't have any such program available. We prefer that people donate
their time to improve an aspect of PHP itself instead of money.

There is no PHP Foundation or any other kind of organization which
would gather all the funds and manage them and there are no plans of
creating one.
BUT it is already possible at the moment to make a donation, though
only to the developers having a wishlist like here:

or here: http://pear.php.net/user/bate
As far as I know this is the preferred way to give thanks (aside from
sending patches, helping with the docs and other forms of help).
You can also contact a developer directly and settle this question
personally.

Would it be possible to insert a donate, or voluntary pay, or pay
relative to income, usage, market tool value etc. for using the
PHP-module and respective tools on your website?
Expected result:

A menu item with either donation, volunatary payment, relative payment
or just payment, or maybe a better suggested description. A search for
pay, paying, donation, donate could lead to this page as well. Maybe a
text to assure that this payment is fully voluntary, assuring that you
are not alienating those that are happy with using a free tool. The
page would I expect would give one or more ways to pay or donate for
the tool. (Or if you came to a different conclution than me, a page
that tell why or just that you came to the conlution that it is better
not to receive money, or just that you would not like to receive money
for the usage of the tool.)
Actual result:

No result that describe what to do to pay for the PHP-tool, from
searching donation, donate, pay or payment, I could not find a menu
item with donate/pay etc.
