PHP and MySQL Fundamentals

PHP is a free, open source language very similar to Perl, but devoted
solely to usage within dynamic web pages. PHP can be freely downloaded
and installed for web servers on either Windows, Mac OS X or Unix. Like
ASP or ColdFusion, it allows the web developer to create pages that
receive and process form input from other pages, and to integrate
database inputs and outputs with web pages.

PHP is often used in conjunction with the open source database MySQL.
Wewill spend a significant amount of time investigating this database
and the many features it provides. At the end of this course students
should be able to set up a database, populate it with data, and
retrieve that data through PHP forms.

Students with less programming experience may opt to take the first
three days of this course for $1195 instead of the full five days. To
do so, contact us at 415-392-8024.

Below are overview bullets of the 5-day class. For more details, visit
