Can we start making bugs.php register_globals off compatible or is
there a reason why it's still requires register_globals = on?

It is quite untouchable. If you try and touch it, it will collapse
badly. This is why there is no progress there. BTW Derick and Sniper
used to say: if it is not broken, why fix it?

I am personally for making it a touchable system by rewriting but this
should not happen on the live site, and should be tested deeply. Plus I
don't have time to participate in this.
