It's a mirror probem. Can you tell us the mirror you're using ?

When posting code on the manual, if you have something like so:

<?php
$string = "\x25\x25\x25\x25";
?>

The backslashes will not be shown in the preview, however they will be
shown when the note is posted on the manual.
