PHP Installation - Problem during installation-blank screen!

Hi,

I am new to PHP, I have been trying to install PHP for my apache web sever
on my laptop PC, I use a Windows XP Professional operating systerm. I have
downloaded those two files: apache_2.2.6-win32-x86-no_ssl.msi and
php-5.2.5-win32-installer.msi.

I was able to install apache 2.2 module, and was able to install PHP 5.2.5,
but when I test the installation, I created a test.php file with simple code
<? phpinfo(); ?> in it. When I try to access http://localhost/test.php, I
got a blank page. When is this?

I went to PHP website's FAQ section, there was an faq about this error, but
it is telling me to "double check the installation configuration in the
manual", I can't find any instructions for installation configuration.

Can anyone help?
