Trouble installing on an Intel Mac

Hi, I have source version 5.1.2. I run: "./configure --with-pgsql=/
usr/local" and everything looks okay.

Then I try "make" and get:
....
_lo_tell
_lo_unlink
_lo_write
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [sapi/cgi/php] Error 1

What can I do to get this to work? I have MacBook Pro with up-to-date
OS software, and the Xcode tools installed.
