Is there any reason why you didn't move the old values to the changelog section?
I also think you shouldn't have removed the optimization section,
should rather had added a note in the changelog "This option has been
removed as of.."

The docs are built "once in a while", if you feel like these changes
are _really_ important I bet you can convince Derick to rebuild them..

No good reason except my absent mind, I'll add it thanks for bringing

I don't recall removing the optimization section. I just double
checked my CVS commit, but don't see any change there, can you point
me to what you're looking at?

These changes are still only in the CVS version of APC, so I would
say it's only somewhat important. Any way for me to know when the
docs have been rebuilt?

Ah, thanks! This is probably coming out anyways, but that was not my
intention. I've reverted this change, and added the changelog.
Sorry for the mistakes, let me know if you see any other issues and
I'll fix them asap.

I can imagine, I don't think there's any great urgency for these
changes, they mostly affect the latest CVS.
