This bug has been fixed in the documentation's XML sources. Since the
online and downloadable versions of the documentation need some time
to get updated, we would like to ask you to be a bit patient.
Thank you for the report, and for helping us make our documentation
better.
I can't see any "mysql-devel" on
http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/4.1.html so I added "You can
download 'headers and libraries' from MySQL." to ref.mysql insted.

I just wanted to suggest an addition to the documentation, where it
says that mysql header files aren't included in php5 because most
systems already have them. Well, I'm kind of a novice with linux php
and mysql, so I didn't know where to get the header files. It took me
about 4 hours to finally realize that all I had to do was download and
install mysql-devel. I only had mysql-server and mysql-client. I know
common sense should have told me but I guess I'm a bit tired. I would
just make an addition telling users that if they don't have the header
files they are located in mysql-devel from mysql's site. I didn't know
if it was in the PECL or PEAR stuff or what. I know you cant spell
everything out for the novices because the documentation would be
horrific, but that should just be a small addition that I think might
make a lot of people happier :)
