Does it alter html structure or just indents HTML code?
BTW, I can't find it on PEAR. Only XML and PHP beautifiers are
available.

Sorry, my confusion :) I was thinking in something else.. I couldn't find
the html beautifier either...

Simple: with tidy and diff :) In that page you have the commands I've used.
