Well, I'll say it anyway. It does not work. There is no such function
"filehandle", so perldoc -f filehandle returns "No documentation for
perl function `filehandle' found".

Line 85 of what documentation, please? The documentation you referred
to does not exist.

Bugs in Perl (including the Perl documentation) can be submitted with
the perlbug program.
