We are having trouble successfully installing Xerces
2.5 on Solaris 9.

We are installing 2.5 because the application we are
using seems to indicate it in the install notes.

1)

I am on a sunblade 100. I believe it has booted 64-bit
as I checked this web page

and ran this check that indicated 64 bit

Using eeprom

Log in as root and enter:

# /usr/sbin/eeprom | grep boot-file

64-Bit

The system is configured to boot the 64-bit kernel if
the output from the eeprom command is either:

boot-file: data not available

WHICH IS WHAT I GOT ON OURS.

so apparently we have 64 bit Xerces-c to match 64-bit
Xerces-p

2)

To install Xerces-c we followed these instructions

It seemed successful

3)

We then did this to install Xerces 2.5 PERL module

We follow the install.txt file

set XERCESCROOT
and perl Makefile.PL
and make
and make test (which is never 100% ok)
and make install

Xerces PERL does not seem to install. Is there
something in that that should be in that installation
sequence that isnt there?
