Author no brownie point for spamassin or perl, Digest::SHA1 fails

I did an error free up2date install of perl and was having the exact error
I
am having now. So I did a full binary install of the latest stable release
of
perl after uninstalling all spamassin dependant modules.
Everything went on perfect with zero errors. I have a copy of the complete
process, but it is too big for this list. Available upon request.
So how is it that I run this command;

cd /downloads/qmailrocks/perlmods/rpms/
then
rpm -Uvh perl-Mail-SpamAssassin-3.0.2-1.i386.rpm
from the qmailrocks install (which has been error free till spamassin)
and get this junk!

error: Failed dependencies:
perl(Digest::SHA1) is needed by perl-Mail-SpamAssassin-3.0.2-1.i386

probably a permissions error I know, but where in the world do I begin
looking?

Does anyone have a spamassin permissions diagram?
Neat idea huh! A diagram!
I guess that would but these mailing list out of business!

A great idea on where to look would be helpful. Very helpful!
