Search with Perl help

I hae a site. http://www.theswaphut.com. I need help with my search on my main page. It seems to not be returning searches correctly. If i go to advance search that works fine. I need help on this. If i search for say crochet mat it return nothing, but if i search for crochet or just mat it returns an item on there. this is because there is a workd between crochet and mat so therefore it returns nothing where as when doing advanced search it does. Thanks for any help with this.
