| Dear Philip
The discipline what you listed the steps is not much differrent than
what one expects even when one wants to verify cmmi-compliance.
Sometimes some quality-group might have tried to document processes
sitting in his own domain without talking to and envisaging what the
users of these processes really do and how.
Depending upon your interest/patience I can communicate more in detail
that cmmi does not expect you to have tons of documentation and and
that too line by line as per cmmi-model-description.
IT is more about tweaking the existing procedures what we call Process
Improvement ( changes only in agreement with the users and if it brings
some advantages).

Sorry you misunderstood me. I believe in the rumor that managers think that
CMM means more paperwork. Once your managers are over that, the path to
Agile is clear, with fewer battles.
