We are looking for an Agile developer to expand our small team of 5
programmers.
This is a full-time job. If you have any questions please either post

The Medical Informatics Department at the Health Sciences Center at
Stony Brook University ss a Senior Programmer/Analyst.

The candidate must have: 1) Bachelors degree in the Sciences OR, in
lieu of degree, four or more years applicable employed experience as a
programmer; and 2) 4 years experience programming; 3) must be
proficient in at least one object oriented language (eg. - Java, C++,
C#, Objective C, Ruby, Python); 4); thorough knowledge of SQL; 5)
Experience in web programming and Extreme /Agile programming practices;
6) Candidate must have participated in the design of at least one large
scale programming project; familiarity of design patterns, unit
testing, and refactoring techniques;and 7) Must demonstrate excellent
interpersonal, organizational and written and oral communication
skills.

The preferred candidate will also have experience in an
academic/research oriented environment; familiarity with XML and Cold
Fusion Markup Language;knowledge of existing Open Source/Free software
products a plus.
