| Great long-term Contract opportunity with our client in RTP, NC! This
Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing business needs and
translating them into technology as well as process solutions. The
business analyst gathers and analyzes business requirements from
internal customers, evaluates solution options, and develops
recommendations in the form of functional specifications. The analyst
plans, designs and develops technical specifications as well as initial
project charter and scope information. The business analysis may also
develop project quality management plans and review test results and/or
develop training plans and conduct internal customer training on
implemented solutions.
Responsibilities:
* RESEARCH, (ANALYZE), EVALUATE & RECOMMEND. Gather and analyze
internal customer (end user) requirements.
* Develop functional specifications including product and/or project
goals and high-level deliverables.
* PLAN, DESIGN & DEVELOP. Identify project stakeholders, constraints,
and assumptions.
* Determine initial project budget and resource (man hour)
requirements.
* Create project charter and preliminary scope statement and support
the project sponsor in s ing project approval.
* Develop technical specifications including inputs, outputs, logic,
and other details necessary to develop or select the appropriate
technology solution.
* Identify and separate needs for revamped or new business processes
separate from technology solutions, and work with internal customers to
create business processes.
* TESTING. Participate in quality assurance planning and control
activities as needed.
* CUTOVER. Participate in internal training plan development and
execution as needed.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or
equivalent experience.
* Six to nine years business systems analysis experience in a corporate
IT environment.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Customer relationship management skills.
* Experience with TSQL, MS SQL or other RDBMS, MS Office, Visio
required; experience with UML and Use Case Writing preferred.
* Experience working in software development environment with line of
business applications is required.
Pay is up to $40/hr depending on experience.
