Overview:
This person will be responsible for the technical development of a
PeopleSoft Global Payroll implementation, including set up,
development, tuning, debugging, configurations, and interfaces to
other systems.
Required Skills:
1. Five or more years of development experience with PeopleSoft
Global Payroll
2. Two or more implementations of Global Payroll
3. Five or more years experience with:
a. PeopleTools
b. PeopleCode
c. Application Engine
d. Component Interface
e. COBOL
f. SQL
g. SQR
h. PeopleSoft Security
i. PSTree Management
j. Application Server
j. Process Scheduler
4. Two or more years of developing against a UNIX and DB2
environment.
5. UNIX scripting
6. Knowledge of transfer protocols
Desired Skills:
1. Knowledge of webMethods
2. AION business rule engine
3. Savantage Altimate Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable
4. BSI Systems tax packages
Job Duties:
1. Analyze legacy pay requirements and design processes to
successfully extend PeopleSoft’s Global Payroll architecture to
satisfy requirements.
2. Develop Global Payroll Rules, Application Engine and COBOL
processes to support the pay requirements.
3. Performance tune the PeopleSoft environment by:
a. Modifying tables
b. Creating indexes
c. Partitioning tables
d. Streaming concurrent Global Payroll processes to meet and
maintain service level requirements
4. Analyze, debug, and resolve application issues and known
anomalies within the PeopleSoft software and system environments
5. May include development of custom interface solutions using XML
and webMethods.
